In the Orange Ear’ solo performances, Zeynep Ayşe Hatipoğlu performs with cello and voice. She switches between live electronics, field recordings and fixed media compositions, moving between genres. Her background is rooted in Istanbul, with influences ranging from Turkish Makam music and “Eurogenetic” classical music to experimental and free improvisation practices.
